Getting too old to party?

Dahil sa naudlot na coffee bonding with Jex, Rem, and Chochi last Thursday (buwisit na curfew 'yan - wasn't Thursday such an overkill?), I woke up Friday morning wanting to stay out super late. I was already feeling malas kasi lahat ng inaya kong samahan ako sa balak kong magpa-umaga sa daan ay hindi puwede when dear Barrie sent me an SMS: "Bebe, are you free tonight? Wanna meet for coffee?"

Sakto.

And the good thing is we've been trying to meet each other for the past months but something always comes up.
Olai because apparently, ayaw din niya umuwi agad. And so Hailie, Barrie, and Olai met at Seattle's Best The Block (it was my first time there, would you believe? Ms Ria(ganda) was also there and it was nice to bond with her - biruin mong co-worker ko siya sa Magister but it was only now that we really got the chance to talk (the first and only time we saw each other was during my orientation).

When Ms Ria left at around 12mn, Hailie, Barrie, and Olai were not yet ready to go. And so they trooped to McDonald's T. Morato for late dinner and fries, fries, and more fries (yes, I'm near the Super Size Me status...haha). We stayed there until 2am and somehow, bitin pa din kami. We all just had an early Saturday and needed to really go home.

It's always a pleasure meeting these friends of mine. Because. Alam na naming tatlo 'yun. *winks*

Anyhoo, it was during this particular coffee date that a night out was decided upon. And so the night of December 1, we partied the night away.

The four of us (Barrie, Ms Ria, Olai, and I) started the night at Blue Onion, Eastwood. And we were, uhm, surprised (and disappointed) that the crowd was really young. But the music was kinda great and we had two bottles of beer each so we decided to stay anyways. When the eight bottles of beer have been downed and the music turns to an RNB-ish mix of Thanks for the Memories (believe me, it was not good), we went to Guilly's near the ABS-CBN compound. The plsce was jam-packed with people and we were asked to wait before we can get in. Since we're pretty sure that it will take awhile before we can get a spot inside and that if ever we do get inside we'll have a hard time breathing, we decided to head over to Formula T. Morato.

The entrance was a cheap Php100 (which comes with one beer) and the music was pretty nice. The crowd is still a bit too young for us but what the heck, we wanted to burn the dance floor so we danced.

I got tired too easily though. Which is weird. Because I used to be indefatigable in the dance floor. And let's just say, after three hours of dancing, I suddenly felt like na-achieve ko na 'yung purpose ko. And biglaan eh ayoko nang sumiksik sa dance floor - partially na din because of the "weird" smell of the Formula Bar dance floor (read: body sweat + onion = yuck). Suddenly, it dawned on me: matanda na ako!!! I still will always go back to craving the call of the dance floor. But if before it's something that I just have to do weekly, ngayon now I'll only be heeding to the call just because I'm with good company and because I really, really wanna dance.

I bet most of you will be wondering about the "mabenta talaga ako sa Indians" part of my title. Ganito kasi 'yun. The most famous kuwento would have to be the one where this old Indian guy approached me at McDonald's, offering me a job. After an initial interview, tinext niya ako about a final interview: 1am. Not bad, with the slew of call centers that invite applicants for interviews at ungodly hours. But this one was really dubious. Why? Venue of interview: Indian's condo. Hmmn.

Anyways, the fact that I'm always approached by Indian guys out of the blue has been established. Kasi ang ata na si Karen, dumeretso sa dance floor, thinking that Ms Ria and barrie are at her heels. Keber. Sumayaw ako. Mag-isa. Not for long. And erm. The hands belonged to someone who must have been dancing for quite sometime in that packed dance floor. And perhaps eh nabuhay din siyang ngumangata ng sibuyas. Because he smelled badly of that combination. All together now: yuck. At kahit na gusto ko 'yung kantang tumutugtog, humiwalay ako kay Indian guy, with a lame, "I need a drink." But really. I needed a drink.

Anyways, that's why the next time I went to the dance floor ay bitbit ko na si Olai.

Sabi niya 'dun sa isang batang gustong makipagsayaw sa kanya, "Do you want me to smack you in the face?" Haha! Winner. Magamit nga sa susunod...

We capped the night (err...morning? As we left Formula at 4:30-5 am!!!) with snacks at the nearby 7-11 and breakfast at Kalye Juan (where a really cute drunk guy was also eating with his barkada - Barrie and I attempted to take his picture but failed. And sa kakatitig ko ay hindi gumana ng maayos ang utak ko tapos eh hindi ko ma-shoot 'yung tubig na iniinom ko sa bibig ko - straight from the baso to my lap. 'Wa poise! Haha!)

That was such a fun night! Mostly because I was with a fun company. 'Til next time, guys.
