Heath Ledger: In memoriam

Ledger in 10Things... I woke up to a shocking news from Jex: Heath Ledger is dead. And after a few minutes of denial, Myx and the Internet portals told me that it's time to face the truth.

I first fell in love with Heath Ledger in, uh-huh, "10 Things I Hate About You" (I hate the way you talk to me/ and the way you cut your hair/ I hate the way you drive my car/ I hate it when you stare. / I hate your big dumb combat boots/ and the way you read my mind/ I hate you so much it makes me sick/ it even makes me rhyme. / I hate the way you're always right/ I hate it when you lie/ I hate it when you make me laugh/ even worse when you make me cry/ I hate it that you're not around/ and the fact that you didn't call/ But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you/ not even close, not even a little bit, not even any at all.). But I fell for him the hardest in "A Knight's Tale". I fell so hard that I watched the movie three or four times in the cinema! And who would forget Heath Ledger in "Brokeback Mountain"? Okay, I wasn't really in love with him in that movie but I was in love with his acting. He has proven himself to be one of the edgiest, most original actors in Hollywood.

Heath Ledger may have the "personality of a cardboard" (Gino's words) but his cinematic persona is very commanding. I admire him for his ability to tackle a variety of roles. I believe him to be a man of intense talent. He sure is a great loss to moviegoers and lovers.

Heath Ledger...I'll miss you...

P.S. Yes, there were sleeping pills beside Ledger when he died but an autopsy is yet to be done. Best we steer away from the 'suicide' talks until anything has been confirmed. Respects to the family of the guy I once dreamt of kissing. XD Surely though, his death will rake in more interest in the already much-talked about "Dark Night".

P.P.S. Ledger's death got me thinking, "That's it! I'm really tracking down Josh Hartnett, Devon Sawa and Jonathan Jackson. And I'll tell them, "Drugs are very bad. they make fangirls like me really, really sad."
