Damian 2k mini get-together: 26 January 2008
I think at one point in our lives, we get over high school and realize that that point in our lives was something we all just had to get through. It is not the be-all and end-all of things.
But this does not mean that we forget about everything in high school. If anything, high school is the richest source of memories. And friends...
Hence, it was a nice thing to actually have a mini get-together with some of the most memorable people I met back in high school.
My high school is a blur of memories and girlie writings (I've unearthed the journal I used to write back then and I cringe at how immature my writings were) but a few people stayed vivid in my memory. And perhaps one of the most vivid of them all (the most vivid, of course, being my high school barkada) was Damian 2K - my fourth year section. We dubbed ourselves to be the section of student leaders, talented individuals, and young, bright minds and well-rounded people. We took pride in each others' accomplishments. And, together, we also achieved a lot of things.
Stephan (taking cue from a suggestion of Floyd's), arranged a small "reunion" of sorts for what most of us considers as the best section of our high school life. And after eight long years, Damian 2K reunites. Only six people were in attendance - Kistna, Rica, Karen Lyn, Rac, Stephan, and myself - but it was surely good for starters.
